Every cookie, storage item and embedded service used on the Weddington NC Guide, what each does, and how to change your choices.

In plain English
The site stores one item: your consent choice. No analytics or advertising cookies are used. The Google map is optional and stays off until you allow it.
Inventory
The following technologies are used:
- wng-consent (local storage) — Strictly necessary. Provider: this website. Remembers your cookie choice and the policy version. Kept until you change your choice or clear browser storage.
- Hosting and security cookies — Strictly necessary. Provider: our hosting and content-delivery network. May be set to protect against abuse and route traffic. Duration set by the provider; often session-length.
- Google Fonts — Strictly necessary for display. Provider: Google. Delivers typefaces; receives your IP address and browser details. We do not use it to set cookies.
- Google Maps — Optional (embedded maps). Provider: Google. Loads the interactive map only after consent. Google may set its own cookies or storage (for example preference and security identifiers) under its privacy policy; durations are controlled by Google.
- Analytics — Not used.
- Advertising or retargeting identifiers — Not used.
Your choices
When you first visit, a notice offers "Accept all," "Essential only" and "Manage preferences" with equal prominence. Optional categories are never preselected. You can reopen your choices at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of every page, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. If you withdraw map consent after the map loaded, the page reloads so the map service stops.
Your choice is stored with a policy version. If we make a material change, the notice will ask again.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies and storage in your browser settings. If you block local storage, the site cannot remember your choice and will ask again. Blocking Google cookies may prevent the map from working; the rest of the guide still works.
