How we work

Editorial standards

How Weddington Living researches places, labels locations and separates editorial content from commercial relationships.

01

What we publish

Weddington Living is a guide to life in Weddington and the places around it, published by Nicholas and Miriam Peters. We cover dining, outdoors, culture, daily essentials, schools, communities and homes.

02

Research, not reviews

Place listings are researched from official websites and public sources. Unless a page says otherwise, we have not visited, dined at or been hosted by the business, and we never present research as a first-hand review.

03

What we never invent

Hours, prices, menus, ratings, awards, events, school assignments, commute times and membership access. If a fact can't be supported, we leave it out.

04

Location accuracy

Every place shows its actual town or district. We use “near Weddington” for places outside town limits and never relocate a business into Weddington for search purposes.

05

Commercial relationships

The publishers own the Peters businesses featured on this site and may benefit when you contact them. Sponsored features and hosted visits, if any, are always labeled. Editorial inclusion is never sold.

06

Source hierarchy

Official business websites, town and county sites, parks agencies, school districts and venue pages come first. Third-party listings can prompt a question but never settle a fact.

07

In, near and worth the drive

Each place is grouped as In Weddington (inside town limits), Near Weddington (neighboring towns and south Charlotte districts) or Worth the drive (farther destinations kept separate so they never crowd out local options).

08

Timeless, not dated

Weekend ideas and itineraries are evergreen plans built from real places, never presented as scheduled events. We do not publish event dates, hours or prices that could go out of date.

09

Photography

Photographs are illustrative scenes of the region. We do not present generated or stock imagery as documentary photographs of a specific business, and place pages do not use imagery that could be mistaken for the real venue.

10

AI assistance

Some text is drafted with AI assistance and the journal is generated automatically under rules that forbid invented facts, visits and dates. See the AI disclosure for details and limits.

11

Not the town

Weddington Living is not the Town of Weddington, Union County, a school system or any homeowners association. Official decisions always come from those bodies.
